| Black Spirit |
Like Atlantide, all the members of this band (Salvatore Curto on keyboards and vocals, Giovanni Granato on bass, Nicola Ceravolo on guitar, Johnny G.Pesce on drums and guest percussionist Gianni Piras) were of italian origins and working in Germany, and it was here that their superrare first and only album was released in 1978 by the small and collectible Brutkasten label. For this reason Black Spirit are commonly listed among german prog artists.
The album was mainly a hard rock affair, sung in english and with some rock/roll-blues influences, and very far from the typical italian sound. According to the sleevenotes it had been recorded between 1969 and 1978. (Augusto Croce)
